Packamama celebrates The Wine Society’s Win in the Green Packaging Category at The Drinks Business Green Awards 2024

London, United Kingdom

Packamama is delighted to celebrate The Wine Society’s incredible achievement at the drinks business Green Awards 2024, where they were honoured with the prestigious Green Packaging Award. Recognised for their “brave decision” to incorporate four wines in Packamama’s innovative eco-flat recycled PET bottles as a permanent addition to their range, The Wine Society has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in advancing sustainability in the wine industry.

This bold move highlights the transformative potential of eco-friendly packaging – lightweight, made from recycled materials, and fully recyclable – to reduce the carbon footprint of wine and inspire positive change across the sector.

Packamama is proud to have contributed to this milestone as the packaging partner for The Wine Society’s award-winning range. We also celebrate our own recognition as a finalist in the same category for our collaboration with Aldi UK, which brought some of the Chapter & Verse wine range to market in our eco-flat bottles.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to The Wine Society for their well-deserved win and to all winners and finalists at the drinks business Green Awards 2024. A special thanks to the judges for acknowledging the critical importance of greening the wine and alcoholic drinks sector – a mission essential for a sustainable future.

Finally, we applaud every participant in the awards for their dedication to sustainability and innovation. Together, we are driving meaningful progress towards a more sustainable future for wine and beyond.
