On May 4, 2016, during the Craft Brewers Conference (CBC) in Philadelphia, Lightweight Containers launched a new family of kegs with the brand name UniKeg®. The Lightweight Containers Research and Development team worked in secret on this project for over a year. They opted for a design integrating Lightweight Containers’ know-how and proven technologies in a sturdy design. The new keg uses the Double Wall™ technology, invented by Lightweight Containers, and integrates an American Sankey D fitting. The UniKeg is an extremely reliable, safe and solid keg that can be offered at a competitive price.
