Husky Injection Molding Systems today announced that it will be exhibiting at Chinaplas 2014 (April 23 – 26, Shanghai, China) and will focus on showcasing its latest technologies in hot runners and controllers. Husky recently established its hot runners and controllers business as a strategic priority and is focused on developing innovative products and services that solve customers’ key injection molding challenges in areas such as gate quality, balance, ease of use and maintainability.

“We are very excited about exhibiting at Chinaplas and have always found it to be a great event for connecting with existing and prospective customers in Asia Pacific,” said Gerardo Chiaia, Husky’s President of Hot Runners. “Husky continues to have a strong customer base and relationships in this region and we believe Chinaplas will help us to better understand and meet these customers’ ongoing needs.”

Husky’s presence at Chinaplas will take a targeted approach by displaying hot runner and controller technology to serve key markets, including consumer electronics, medical, automotive and closures. Among the technologies to be demonstrated include the Ultra SideGate™ hot runner, Ultra nozzles, and the latest developments in synchronized stem control applications. Also featured will be the latest expansions to the Altanium® temperature controller product line, including the recently launched Altanium Delta3™ and upcoming Altanium Matrix2™. Husky will also be introducing several new products at the show that address the industry’s need for improved thermal uniformity, increased valve stem control, better gate quality and technology to simplify hot runner installation.

Husky’s goal is to be the industry’s first choice for melt delivery systems and adopts a scientific approach to reducing sources of waste and variability in the injection molding process. This goal has led the company to introduce new design and manufacturing processes that aim to make Husky hot runners the most thermally uniform in the industry. This approach is also being applied to developing nozzles with longer life and superior valve gate quality, as well as expanding the scope of Altanium® controlled processes.
