Increasing demand in a fast-growing region has led to the expansion of GCS Shanghai Factory
Global Closure Systems is proud to announce that the expansion of its plant in Shanghai, China is now complete. During these past 12 years GCS has become a key player in China with leading positions in the Personal Care and Household & Industry markets. Global Closure Systems also has a strong presence in South East Asia with factories in the Philippines and Thailand.
In order to reinforce its position as a market leader, GCS has not only undertaken considerable renovation works in Shanghai but has also invested in more production and storage capacity.
The surface area of the factory has been increased to 1.000 square meters by extending the current storehouse and technical facilities. A new larger quality lab has also been built close to the production area, with the latest measurement and quality control equipment. In addition, a new high capacity crane has been installed for lifting heavy moulds. GCS Shanghai facility is now equipped with cutting edge technologies including bi-injection tooling.
Global Closure Systems strongly believes in a sustainable growth in China and with this expansion confirms that it is one of the key players on the caps & closures and dispensing systems market in Asia. GCS plans to continue to invest in its facilities in Shanghai to strengthen its production capabilities and efficiency in 2014 and beyond.
