| | Holland Colours Americas Inc. produces Holcobatch colorants and additives that are suitable for use with biopolymer resins. They are found to offer both superior processing performance and material compatibility in commercialized applications. Holcobatch has been successfully used with polyesters including PLA (polylactic acid) and sugar derived PET. Our non-polymeric, non-petroleum based carrier systems allow for potential use in other biopolymers as well.
Holland Colours has the ability to produce Holcobatch in a full palette of custom colors. In addition to opaque and transparent colors, a range of tints is available to mask the natural color variations seen in most biopolymer resin grades. Holcobatch has been used successfully in bottle blowing and packaging applications for decades. Holcobatch uses an organic bio-based carrier and is a microbead which enables very low dosing levels to achieve color in packaging.
