It will be interesting to see what comes next. There is no doubt that the PET packaging industry has come a long way in recent decades. What once began as a simple, unbreakable plastic bottle is now a high-tech product that meets the highest demands in terms of economy, sustainability, safety and functionality.
Progress in recycling in particular has shaped the industry in recent times. Closed-loop systems and the use of rPET are helping to significantly reduce the environmental impact of packaging. The future of the PET drinks and packaging industry remains exciting - and promises to become ever more efficient and environmentally friendly.
Ahead of the world’s leading beverage and plastics exhibitions, the PETnology Conference 2025 will also reflect on the current challenges facing the industry.
Our event has been a strong attraction for years, providing a platform for companies to present and discuss the latest trends, technologies and innovations in the PET packaging sector. 2025 is a double anniversary year for us: In the 25th year of our company, we will celebrate the 30th PETnology conference. Following its great success in June 2024, the event will once again take place in Switzerland on 27 and 28 May 2025.
For 25 years, we have been communicating the industry’s technological advances and discussing technological challenges through our media and with an evergrowing number of LinkedIn followers. Over these 25 years, we have come to realise that it is not just the big technological breakthroughs that have potential - it is often the small but vital improvements that can pave the way to a more sustainable and efficient packaging future.
True to our motto ‘connecting comPETence - to keep PET packaging ahead’, we are looking forward to the coming year of major exhibitions and the anniversary year of PETnology.
